  • GraimNoiseSpatial is a Max4Live device:
    A virtual synthesiser powered by a self-retriggered algorithm of granular synthesis, based on a polyphony of eight voices using filtered noise or an oscillator with variable wave shapes as main source.
    Supplied with a delay effect and an overdrive implementing a generalised series.
    Each voice is evenly self-spatialised into an integrated multichannel audio-rate system and its spatial movement is correlated to the grain’s length.
    The software instrument provides additional modulation over the location and movement of the synthesised sound in the virtual aural space.
    Implemented in Max/MSP/Gen/Mc.

    Minimum System Requirements
    Ableton Live version: 10.1.18

It's a collection of improvised sound streams created using GraimNoise, a self-built software instrument based on auto-retriggered granular synthesis of noise.
“quick-recorded” during improvisation sessions, beta testing the device.

It’s a dialogue with a machine, trying to fix each other’s problems.


As a sound artist and composer researcher, LEDEN conceives instrument design as an intrinsic part of his creative process. This sound collection traces back the heuristic element of real-time sonic exploration, documenting the poietic act of discovering new paths of human-machine interactions.
An intimate sense of space permeates the whole record, plunging the listener in a colloidal dimension where innumerable sound molecules agglomerate and flow in dynamic and polymorphic motions.
